Do you have a favorite antique but you're not sure if it will work in your home? Don't worry. Try it before you buy it! Test Drive any of our items free of charge. All we require is your information and an active credit card. It's easy!
Here's How It Works:
1. Pick Your Favorite Antique: Choose from one of our 3,000 items.
2. Provide Us With a Credit Card: All we need is an active card, and the billing address, etc. We will hold your card information while you have one of our antiques in your possesion.
3. Take It On a Test Drive: Try one (or more) item(s) in your home for 7 days upon receipt of item. If you like it, keep it, we'll charge your card and send you a receipt. If the item doesn't work, bring it back, free of charge.
So, here's the fine print...
By taking an item on a Test Drive customer agrees to the terms and conditions listed below:
Customer assumes all responsiblity while antique item(s) is/are in the customer's possession including transit. Customers are required to provide an active credit card from a major carrier (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover) and the correct billing address to the credit card used at time of service. Customer and credit card information will be held for the duration of the Test Drive. Test Drives start at 7 calendar days from receipt of the item(s) [with a possible extension if necessary*]. An agreed upon date for return or purchase of the item(s) is required before the item(s) is/are in the customer's possession. NOTE: If the customer has not made contact about the intent of purchase by 4:45 pm Eastern Standard Time on the agreed upon day of return, Materials Unlimited will assume you, the customer, are keeping the item(s). At which time the credit card provided will be charged for the entire purchase price of the item(s). The sale will be considered final. If the customer chooses to return the item(s), they will have 30 days from the receipt of the item(s) to do so. Customers may only return the item(s) for store credit and the charges will not be removed from the customer's credit card.
Materials Unlimited will ship Test Drive item(s) to your door for an additional fee. Shipping charges will be assessed at time of service**. The customer is responsible for the return shipping of all Test Drive item(s) and a tracking number must be provided to Materials Unlimited which includes an expeced delivery date. Tracking numbers must be sent upon shipping. Failure to provide a tracking number may result in additional fees. See our Shipping and Delivery Policy for details.
Damage and Loss
Customer assumes all risk and liability while antique item(s) is/are in the customer's possession including transit, loss, theft, damage, or destruction to any item(s) on a Test Drive. Once the item has left the possession of Materials Unlimited ALL responsibility of the item(s) will fall upon the customer. Item(s) must be returned to Materials Unlimited in the same condition for which they left the store located at 2 W. Michigan Avenue, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197. Item(s) returned damaged or altered will result in additional fees. Materials Unlimited will inspect all Test Drive item(s) within a 48 hour of receipt. Materials Unlimited will notify the customer of condition at that time.
*Materials Unlimited understands that the customer may require more time to make a decision about the item(s). Please contact Materials Unlimited at 800-299-9462 or firstname.lastname@example.org to request an extension.
**Shipping charges vary per item(s). Materials Unlimited will contact the customer with a shipping quote. The customer must accept or decline the quote before further action can be taken.
