Because so much of our inventory is unique, oversized, or requires special handling we cannot predetermine shipping & handling prices in advance.
For those products, please contact us for a shipping estimate. Please provide us with a destination zip code and whether this location is a business or residence. If the item is large and/or heavy, we will also need to know if a truck with a lift gate will be required at the final destination.
Once the shipping charge is agreed upon, we will pack the item and contact the shipper for pick up. After the item has been picked up, we will forward you the tracking information. Be aware that once the item is no longer in our possession we do not have control over how it is being handled. We recommend that you inspect the packaging before signing for it. Please notify us immediately if you have any questions or concerns. You will pay the shipping charges directly with the third party shipper.
PLEASE NOTE: Most standard shipping companies will not insure antiques, even if there is a declared value. If you wish to have your items insured, then we can recommend a third party insurer for you.
Of course, accidents can happen and, although rare, sometimes damage can occur. If an item is damaged in shipping, customers should contact Materials Unlimited and/or third party insurers immediately. To the best of our ability, Materials Unlimited will repair or replace damaged items.
Items purchased online may be returned within 30 days of receipt for a refund minus any shipping or handling charges. You will be responsible for paying return shipping costs and for any damage incurred during the return shipping process.
