Rare Late Victorian oak combination cash register and spool cabinet from a general store.  The cabinet has flat paneled sides, a small gallery along the back edge, a recess for a quill and inkwell, as well as a mechanical ledger spool for writing transaction receipts.  Below the cash drawer are other drawers that once held dividers for spools of thread.  The drawer faces bear decals related to each drawers contents and one labeled J&P Coates - a well known manufacturer of thread and cabinets for dispensing thread.  A brass label at the bottom of the cabinet reads "Standard Cash Register East Stroudsberg PA Pat. June 16 1891"
